punk rock matinee – sunday june 19

CurasbunPosters-001An afternoon of international on-point oi/streetpunk/punk at This Ain’t Hollywood in Hamilton. As usual, all-ages/licensed!

Facebook Event Page

First up we’ve got our very own HAMILTON DEFENSE ARMYcomprised of members of The Strike, The Steeltown Spoilers and Adellada, these grizzled scene veterans bring new life to old oi classics in their own inimitable style … expect to hear  Varukers , Cock Sparrer , Business , Oppressed , Blitz , Sham69 (just to name a few!) when they storm the stage ..

Up next is THE FALLOUT  … straight up, stripped-down catchy-as-heck political punk rock from  from Toronto … albums out on Longshot Music, Insurgence Records and, sooner than later, Rebel Time Records …

Then we’ve got Montreal’s SHOTCALLERS . Made up of members of  illustrious Montreal / Quebec bands (including  Jeunesse Apatride, La Gachette, Buddha Bulldozer, Scab Coma, Subsistance and Hold A Grudge), they guys are a real-deal street-punk powerhouse … new 4-song 7″ out now on Crowd Control media … I gotta say, I love the tune “Violence Sublime” …

And, headlining, we’ve got, all the way from Chile, street-punk veterans CURASBUN …they’ve been around for 20 years and have just released their first album in 11 years … currently on tour across the Americas … check out the interv with the band, as well as tunes and videos,  on this blog, just a couple of entries below this one …
