THE CLASS WAR KIDS: EXCLAIM MAGAZINE ARTICLE

Exclaim Magazine ran a nice piece about the new CLASS WAR KID’S digital download EP for Haiti relief:

Newfoundland’s Class War Kids Release EP for Haiti

It’s inspiring to see how punk rockers are uniting to do their part in relief efforts for Haiti. As we recently reported, political punks Propagandhi are preparing to release a digital EP in March to help do their part. In a similar vein, Newfoundland-based outfit the Class War Kids now have their own four-songer ready to roll.

As their label, Rebel Time Records, points out, not only does Class War Kids’ release feature one more song than that of their Winnipeg-based buddies, but it too will see all monies going to the efforts in Haiti.

Made up of cover tunes, the EP finds Class War Kids taking on Joe Strummer‘s “Coma Girl,” Randy‘s “Freedom Song,” the Weakerthans‘ “Confessions of a Futon Revolutionist” and Chubby Checker‘s “The Hucklebuck.”

If you’re curious what to expect, Exclaim! recently reviewed the band’s sophomore album with great praise. Or you can simply jump right in and download the EP here for whatever price you wish. But remember, this is one time when getting something for free is really jerky.
